Joint Goniometer (Chinese name: 关节量角器, “the App,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we handle and how.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not require an account and does not upload your camera feed, pose data, or measurement results to our servers.
- Camera data is used only when you open the measurement screen for real-time pose analysis. Video is processed on your device and is not uploaded to any server.
- Photo library access is used only when you choose to save annotated screenshots or measurement videos to your library. We do not read other items in your library.
- Measurement history (peak angles, timestamps, measurement types, etc.) is stored locally on your device and is not synced to the cloud.
- App preferences such as disclaimer acceptance, language, light/dark theme, and Pro unlock status are saved on your device.
- In-app purchases for Pro lifetime unlock are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your payment card details. Each store may process transaction data under its own privacy policy.
We do not actively collect your name, email, precise location, contacts, or data for advertising profiles.
2. How We Use Information
Local data is used only to:
- Detect pose and compute joint angles on your device;
- Store measurement history, screenshot references, filters, and trend comparisons;
- Remember disclaimer acceptance, language, and theme settings;
- Verify Pro lifetime unlock and restore purchases.
We do not sell your data, build advertising profiles, or share measurement data with third parties for marketing.
3. Storage and Security
- All pose recognition and angle computation runs on your device.
- We do not collect, upload, or share biometrics or measurement results to our servers.
- Uninstalling the App removes local history and preferences (purchased Pro can be restored via the store).
4. Third-Party Services
- On-device pose detection: The App includes on-device recognition components (such as Google ML Kit Pose Detection) to analyze pose locally. Camera frames and measurement results related to core features are not uploaded to our servers.
- Apple App Store / Google Play handle distribution, purchases, and restore. See each platform’s privacy policy.
Aside from components required for on-device recognition, the App does not integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs that transmit personal measurement data over the network.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is suitable for a broad audience including rehab and fitness users, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe we have done so inadvertently.
6. Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Revoke camera or photo library permissions in system settings (related features will stop working);
- Delete measurement history inside the App;
- Uninstall the App to delete local data;
- Manage purchase records through Apple or Google;
- Contact us about privacy (below).
If you are in the EEA, UK, or similar jurisdictions, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App means you accept the updated policy.
